GRANTS & FUNDING FOR TRANSPORTATION
Federal & State Transportation Resources
The Public Transit Team (PTT) at the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), with funding from the federal government, administers federal transportation programs that fund agencies providing transportation services to people living in Utah.
Each year the Public Transit Team (PTT) announces the opportunity to apply for federal funds provided by the FTA through the Utah Department of Transportation. If your agency is interested in applying for FTA funds to support public or human service transportation in Box Elder, Cache, or Rich Counties, contact the Bear River Mobility Manager at 435-752-7242, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org

Funding Changes With New Transportation Bill
MAP-21, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (P.L. 112-141), was signed into law by President Obama on July 6, 2012. Funding surface transportation programs at over $105 billion for fiscal years (FY) 2013 and 2014, MAP-21 is the first long-term highway authorization enacted since 2005.
Due to several changes being made to FTA programs and funding availability, we will wait to post funding opportunities until we have the official word regarding how these changes will impact us in the Bear River Region.
